Lake Mitchell Lots Real estate Auction

The City of Mitchell will be holding a Surplus Auction of 7 Lake Lots at the Corn Palace on October 23, 2023 starting at 3pm.  

Dean- Edwards Real Estate & Auction will be conducting the surplus auction, and they have created a web page with the details of the 7 lots of sale.  The information below, as well as additional auction details and images of each lot are listed on the auction webpage shown below.  Property Signs will be posted at the lots the week of August 21, 2023.  Anyone interested in the auction should visit the auction webpage for additional information.

Auction format: Round 1: All tracts will be offered on a choice lot basis. Once bidding has stalled, the successful high bidder will have choice of any and or all Lots available for sale, and that Lot/Lots will be placed on hold and the second choice thru seventh choice will be conducted.  We will break for 5 to 10 minutes and proceed with Round 2 starting with the first lot/lots chosen in Round 1 and will continue in the order in which the Lots were chosen. At the end of Round 2 we will determine if a 3rd Round is needed. If a Third and final Round is needed, the sale order will be the same as Round 2. Once all bids have been presented to Auctioneers, The Mitchell City Council will be notified of all bids and a Special Meeting will be held in Council Chambers to determine the Sale or No Sale of each individual Tract.
