Mitchell Day at the Legislature

Join us for Mitchell Day at the Legislature on Tuesday, February 20th, as the Chamber of Commerce takes a bus to Pierre! This is a unique opportunity to connect with state legislators, gain insight into the legislative process, and represent Mitchell at the State Capitol.

The day begins with a 7:30 a.m. departure from the Chamber of Commerce. Upon arriving in Pierre, we’ll attend morning Legislative Committee meetings and then head into the afternoon session to hear discussions on key issues. During the session, we’ll be introduced by our local legislators in both the Senate and House. The day concludes with a meeting at the Governor’s Office, where we’ll learn more about the State Budget and other state initiatives, before departing for Mitchell. We plan to arrive back at the Chamber between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m.
