Metals Room Laborer

$15/hour
Position Overview:
-Identification and sorting of material to be processed.
-Identifies non-ferrous/ferrous metals.
-Processes and sort different grades of material according to mill specifications.
-Packages scrap in appropriate manner.
-Sweeping and general cleanup of any area and/or equipment.
-General duties involving physical handing of materials, supplies, etc.
-May use torching equipment to break down material.
-Other responsibilities as assigned or required.

Minimum Requirements:
-High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
-Candidate must be able to interact with customers and vendors in a friendly and courteous manner.
-Ability to use hand tools for minor repairs.
-Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
-Able to lift up to 75 lbs. on routine basis.
-Able to stand for long periods of time.
-Ability to identify and differentiate metal materials.
-Able to follow directions and work independently as well with others.
-Must be flexible. Job duties may change on a regular basis.
-Strong Attention to detail is a must.
-Experience preferred but not necessary we will train the right person.
-Electrical experience preferred but not necessary.
